If you have a digital video camera collecting dust in a closet and you are ok with dedicating it to your computer then skip the web cam and use the camcorder, you will have much better video quality. The web cam is the simplest option but make sure you get the best web cam you can afford. One last point, if you want to use a virtual set as your background you may be dissapointed with a web cam.
